Mother of Shadows.....

She was so tall,
Full of life and fruits she was.
My grandparents planted her when she was tiny, 

She was our dear pal.
They watered her every day,
To watch her grow made their day.
During every rain we would shelter her,
Animals too we would drive away.
She grew youthful one day,
So did I, so we parted ways.
Her branches tender and juicy,
Her roots deep and strong.
They concluded she didn’t need them,
Alas they were wrong.
One vacation when I went there,
My eyes wandered her home,
Yet there was no one,
Without our pal there was no home.
She heard all our laments,
When the cruel axe hummed along?
They cut her away, on a day;
We cursed ourself for being away,
Teary eyed I sat in the ground,
The one who gave us shade every day!
In the sun, I mourned my friend;
Yet she was never away,
May be she knew our heart,
So she left her tiny message.
There was a tiny sapling,
Reminding us of our days,
We vowed to protect her daughter.

I HAD A FAITHFUL PET...

The saying goes that "man is dog's best friend". Others find that other pets are also up to the task. The companionship that animals offer is different from human interaction. Human communicate with speech and although this is an advanced form of communication, it has its limitations. Sometimes people struggle to say the right thing when what we really need is to be simply there for each other. Because animals cannot talk they are superior to humans in detecting the feelings of others. A pet may be able to offer a level of companionship that is deeper and more satisfying than human interaction.

The day we had let you go,

Broke our hearts in two,
We had to leave you at that place,
Alone and feeling blue,
The only thing that we could do,
Was drive back home and cry,
For we just couldn't keep you,
No matter how we tried,
You'll never be forgotten,
As long as we  live,
You gave us all the love,
A little dog could give,
We'll think about you often,
And wonder where you are,
And in our hearts we'll hear your bell,
Tinkling from afar.

For my lovely friend who stood besides me whenever i went to my grandma's place...
Although you were big, to us u were still like a puppy, the first day we saw you the cutest thing ever...

you were with us for almost 9 years, and you are one among our family...

like a brother to me...
